It’s nearing the end of summer and so we are getting in as much sunlight and outdoor fun as possible.  My mom and I wanted to throw a Summer Garden Party to celebrate the end of summer and I thought it would be great to use fresh flowers everywhere and fresh foods.  I immediately thought of going to get our party supplies at Sam’s Club because I love their fresh produce and great prices on disposable items.  When I mentioned it to my mom she told me that she was thinking of getting a Sam’s Club membership so I brought her along so she could see the benefits of a Sam’s Club membership for herself.

My mom was instantly impressed with the prices for cups and plates.  She has people over all the time and they go through a lot of disposable goods.  We picked up a 240 count package of 9 oz. clear cups for under $10.00!  I could see the look on my mom’s face when she realized how much money she could save.  It was a light bulb moment!  We also bought beautiful clear plates and some fancy napkins all at great bulk prices!

My parents were convinced of the savings so much that they bought a membership that day!   After they received their cards I showed them the cool kiosk where they could get a free sample of a product.  Just a little perk to having a membership!   We ended up buying all of our party supplies at Sam’s Club even down to the cake which made setting up the party so easy!!!

I just loved how pretty the fresh flowers from Sam’s Club were on the cake and in the mason jars!  They were so bright and looked great next to my mom’s rose bushes.  We wanted to keep all the decor simple so that the flowers were the main focus.

Would you believe me if I said that we decorated this cake in 10 minutes?  It was so easy because we bought a fresh cake from Sam’s Club that was already iced.  I just made a few quick changes so that I could add the flowers on top and it was ready!  See the tutorial for the Summer Garden Cake here.

These Spaghetti Nests are so easy to make and look so cute for a Summer Garden Party.  Our friends and family really loved these.  We went with all Italian inspired dishes for our appetizers.  These nests are super simple to make using angel hair pasta, spaghetti sauce, parmesan and fresh mozzarella balls found at Sam’s Club!

Spaghetti Nests!

Ingredients

• 1 package of angel hair pasta cooked, 1 pound
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian flat leaf parsley
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 cup Spaghetti sauce
• fresh Mozzarella balls for each nest I used Ciliegini

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Take a muffin tin and grease with butter and set aside.
2. Mix cooked pasta, butter, parsley and Parmesan cheese together in a large bowl.
3. Put pasta inside each muffin tin about halfway full and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until nests have browned a little. Take out of oven to cool for 5 minutes then take each nest out of the tins and onto the serving plate/ plates. Add a little spaghetti sauce to each nest and then place a mozzarella ball on top of each nest. Makes 30 nests.

Out of all the foods I think the Purple Fruit Salad was the favorite.  Sam’s Club has some of the best produce hands down.  My mom agreed that the plums were as sweet as candy!  All the fruits were perfectly ripe and I didn’t add any sugar to this salad at all… just fruit!

Here are some other foods we made from Sam’s Club: from top left to bottom right…

1. Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta!  I found a package of small heirloom tomatoes at Sam’s Club and made a simple Bruschetta with them on a french baguette cut up and toasted.  I loved how all the different colors of tomatoes looked.

2. Mini Chicken Parmesan!  Made with Chicken Nuggets cooked then topped with spaghetti sauce and cheese then placed back into the oven to melt… easy!

3. Spinach and cheese Ravioli!  The spinach and cheese ravioli was easy to prepare… just boil!  We loved the taste of these.

4.  Meatballs and sauce!  These meatballs we just heated in the crock-pot and served with spaghetti sauce… so easy and they were delicious.

The best part was seeing everyone having a great time and enjoying the party.  It’s always a fun time when our family and friends get together!  So glad we have a Sam’s Club membership to make these parties a lot easier and more cost efficient!  Be sure to check out Sam’s Club on these social channels too:
