I have been wanting to make a cake like this for a while now and my mom’s Summer Garden Party seemed like the perfect setting to do it! I love how it turned out and it was so easy to make using a pre-made cake that I found at Sam’s Club and fresh flowers from Sam’s Club. I made this in 10 minutes!!! The trick is not being too picky about the flowers… they don’t need any fancy arrangement!
To make your own just make or buy a 10 inch cake. Mine was already iced, but you will need to ice yours if you are making it. Mine came with a decoration on top that I took off and a piped edging on the side. I left the edging and I placed a 9 inch clear plastic plate on top of the cake upside down. Then I placed a whole can of icing on top of the plate in a blob on top. I cut my flower stems about 5 inches tall and then placed the flowers one by one into the icing until I got a look that I liked. That’s it! So simple and easy to make a Summer Garden Cake!!!
You can see this cake and more on the Summer Garden Party post!

[…] Would you believe me if I said that we decorated this cake in 10 minutes? It was so easy because we bought a fresh cake from Sam’s Club that was already iced. I just made a few quick changes so that I could add the flowers on top and it was ready! See the tutorial for the Summer Garden Cake here. […]
