Salted Caramel and Raspberry Triscuit Squares

I created my Salted Caramel and Raspberry Triscuit Squares as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #TriscuitSnackoff

A few years ago I remember a popular TV show host talking about the wonderful flavor that salt gives to sweet foods.  Since then I have added a little sprinkle of sea salt to just about every dessert I make!  When I heard about the Triscuit Summer Snack Off Contest presented by Martha Stewart I knew I wanted to create a salty/sweet combo.  I came up with these Salted Salted Caramel and Raspberry Triscuit Squares!   I just love the salty taste of the Triscuit Crackers with the caramel and raspberries.

These are so delicious!  The tangy raspberries made all the flavors come together!  I also added a little chocolate inside the raspberries and some toasted almonds.

Triscuit Crackers are the perfect appetizer size!   The great thing is that you can top them in so many ways… savory, sweet, salty, tangy or a combo flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Triscuit Crackers
  • 1 jar of good quality caramel or make your own thick caramel, thick, recipe below
  • chopped toasted almonds
  • sea salt
  • chocolate spread or hazelnut chocolate spread
  • fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Top the Triscuit crackers with the caramel first. Then sprinkle the chopped almonds and sea salt on the caramel. Fill the raspberries with the chocolate spread by placing in a piping bag and piping chocolate inside the tops of the raspberries. Position the raspberry on top of the caramel. Enjoy!
  2. To make caramel sauce use a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk. Fill a large saucepan with water and start a boil over medium heat. Place the can of milk, unopened and paper taken off, in the boiling water. Make sure the can is covered well with water and let simmer 3 hours. Top off water as needed and turn can every half hour to prevent scorching. Carefully open once it has cooled off and serve.
