If you have Tinkerbell fans in your household then I am sure you know about the newest Disney’s “The Pirate Fairy” coming out on April 1st. We love the Tinkerbell movies and can’t wait to get this one on DVD. This Blue Pixie Dust Soft Serve is a delicious and healthy treat that is based off the Blue Pixie Dust theme from the movie! It’s like eating ice cream, but it’s made of only bananas and coconut! Yum! I know that my girls can’t wait to make it again when we watch “The Pirate Fairy”!
I found all the ingredients I needed and craft supplies at Walmart. I love their produce section which makes it easy to spot what I need like the bananas!
I have blogged about banana soft serve several times and each time I add a little something different. For this recipe the ingredients are so simple. Just frozen bananas, coconut milk, almond flour and blue food coloring (affiliate links)!
This was so much better than I even imagined it being! The coconut milk mixed with the bananas gave it a very tropical taste and the colored almond flour sprinkled on top added a special “Blue Pixie Dust” touch!
I also added blue leaves to the cups using tissue paper (affiliate link) cut into a large leaf and then scrunched up in the middle. Then I taped the leaf to the plastic cup on the bottom and the sides.
No fairy celebration is complete without a fairy wand! I used a Glow Necklace with Star that I found at Walmart and Skinny Sticks (affiliate link) that were also from Walmart to make the wands.
I just taped the stick onto the back of the star then placed the wands in the dessert! So easy! You can use these blue glow in the dark wall stickers (affiliate link) as an alternative.
These Blue Pixie Dust treats were a big hit with my little Tinkerbell fans! Don’t forget that April 1st is the big day when “The Pirate Fairy” comes out and be sure to pick up the DVD at Walmart. As a free gift with purchase, you will also receive the Pixie Hollow Bake Off DVD which includes 10 animated shorts. The additional DVD is a Walmart exclusive.
