5 Newborn Baby Essentials

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com

A little over five months ago we welcomed our sweet Declan into the the world! I can’t get enough of his baby cuteness and the joy he brings to our family. I am in baby mode right now I have a good idea about must-haves for newborns these days. I’ve teamed up with BabbleBoxx to give you some great gift ideas for a new baby!

The list of baby essentials can get pretty overwhelming in the beginning. This list is a good place to start.

Wether you are shopping for a baby shower gift, or you are a new mom finishing up her newborn’s layette, you can’t go wrong with any of these products. Some of these items I have used for years and others are new favorites of mine!

aden + anais™ is a trusted brand that I’ve used for years with my kids. We are still using aden + anais™ muslin blankets that we received 6 years ago! The NEW aden + anais™ snuggle knit collection is so soft, luxurious and perfectly cozy for a baby’s first 3 months. This fabric is easily my favorite for a new baby.

We love this set for bedtime, bath time and even traveling. I’m also happy that it’s machine washable because even newborn babies can be messy. Declan loves holding the aden + anais™ snuggle knit lovey (sold separately) which is made of the same amazing fabric.

The snuggle knit collection comes in three designs: heather grey, navy stripes (as shown) and pink rosettes. Snuggle knit is available for purchase at adenandanais.com, on Amazon, at retailers including Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue, and at select specialty boutiques across the country.

It’s always hard for my mind to grasp how quickly a baby goes from wanting to snuggle all day to wanting to play all day. By the time that Declan turned 3 months old he was grasping for any and everything he could get in his mouth! This Lil’ Squish Jellyfish Sensory Rattle + Teething Toy was definitely an instant hit with Declan.

The Lil’ Squish Jellyfish is so easy for Declan to grab which promotes hand eye coordination. He’s loving the 100% soft, durable silicone with fun textures for his mouth to explore. He loves to chew the colorful tentacle loops and shake the rattle to make a jingle noise. This is a new brand for us, but I am excited to explore all their other products too!

I’ve been a mom for fourteen years and I’ve been using Boudreaux’s Butt Paste since someone suggested it for my first born. Declan hasn’t really dealt much with diaper rash yet, but I’m glad to have a tube handy just in case. Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Maximum Strength formula contains 40% Zinc Oxide and starts working in as little as 3 hours. Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is free of dyes, preservatives, parabens and talc which are all ingredients I am very careful of exposing my baby to. It’s a must have to keep in the diaper bag and near a diaper changing station!

I look forward to playtime everyday with Declan and I love to see him exploring his toys and world. These Tinkle Crinkle Activity Ball and Tinkle Crinkle Caterpillar from GUND get played with every single day. Tinkle crinkle toys are great for sensory stimulating play because they have a squeaker, crinkle, rattle, and more in bright, primary colors and fabric.

I have to admit that I catch my older kids and even myself playing with sounds and crinkles on it too! These toys are so soft and easy for Declan to hold and roll around. The embroidered details are safe for babies and the toys are machine washable! Baby Gund toys make great gifts that are sure to be loved for years to come.

Another baby essential we love is the Pipette Baby Balm and Pipette Baby Lotion. Declan gets little dry patches on his skin that don’t seem to go away easily. Since using the balm and lotion I have noticed that most of the dry spots on Declan have disappeared!

The Pipette baby balm can be used on sensitive spots such as the diaper line, chapped lips, knees, elbows, or wherever needed. Now that Declan is so active he tends to get some chaffing around his legs where the diaper sits. This baby balm has solved that problem for him!

I am also impressed by how effective the Pipette Baby lotion is on his dry skin. It’s no wonder Pipette was featured in Good Housekeeping magazine’s November 2019 issue on page 48. GH tested and found that skin retained moisture for 6 hours after application! I know I will be using the the Pipette lotion and baby balm on my baby everyday to keep his skin well hydrated!
