What to Bring to the Splash Pad

I use JOHNSON’S® baby products for fun at the splash pad as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #johnsonspartners #SoMuchMore What to Bring to the Splash Pad safe and easy Summertime Fun!

My kids are all water babies and in the summer I am always looking for fun activities to do around the water.  One of our favorite things to do is to go to the Splash Pad at our local park.  The park has playground equipment as well as the splash pad, so my kids like to switch back and forth between the two.  I’ve learned that I need to come well prepared… especially when it comes to the baby!

Here is the list “must have” items that I like to bring to the Splash Pad:

  1. Waterproof Sunscreen
  2. 1 towel per kid
  3. Water Shoes (splash pads are notoriously slippery)
  4. Bandages (see #3)
  5. WATER- must have water and possible snacks if staying for along timeWhat to Bring to the Splash Pad safe and easy Summertime Fun!!
  6. JOHNSON’S® baby pure cornstarch powder with calming lavender & chamomile (for soothing afterwards and making skin stay dry while playing in dirt)
  7. JOHNSON’S®  hand & face wipes (for wiping up dirt)
  8. JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® detangling spray (to help soften hair after the splash pad)
  9. hair brush
  10. Dry clothes

After splashing around in the splash pad, my kids are always ready to go play on the playground.  The one thing I hate is to have dirt caked on my son from his skin being wet.  That’s why I like to pack a bottle of JOHNSON’S® baby pure cornstarch powder with calming lavender & chamomile when we go to the splash pad.  I rub a little powder on him which absorbs excess moisture on his skin,  helping his skin feel dry, fresh and smooth.  The JOHNSON’S® baby pure cornstarch powder also helps to keep the dirt from sticking on him and helps eliminate friction so he feels soft and comfortable.

What to Bring to the Splash Pad for safe and easy Summertime Fun.I also like to pack a bottle of JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® detangling spray to keep his hair looking and feeling great.  I also use it on my older girls so that they can brush out their hair a lot easier.  You can use it on wet or dry hair to instantly unlock knots and tangles and makes it easier to care for hard to manage hair.  It also has a Gentle NO MORE TEARS® formula developed specially for the growing years.  I even use it for my own hair to keep my up do’s from falling in my face from all the wind!

What to Bring to the Splash Pad for safe and easy Summertime Fun!!After my son has played in the playground, I use the JOHNSON’S®  hand & face wipes to wipe up all the dirt and sweat before we go home.  These wipes are amazing!  They gently, safely and effectively clean baby’s face and hands.  The NO MORE TEARS® formula is as gentle to the eyes as pure water, is alcohol free and helps wipe away 95% of dirt and germs.  These are so much better than just using plain diaper wipes and I keep them in his diaper bag at all times!

Keeping all of these things handy when we go to the splash pad makes my life a lot easier.  It also makes our time there go so much more smoothly.  I don’t worry about the dirt and we can just have a great time in the sun!  What items do you like to bring with you on trips to the splash pad or park?  I’d love to hear your suggestions!
