Prep Time 3 minutes
Total Time 3 minutes

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh or frozen strawberries hulled and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk, the creamy kind that comes in a can
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 Tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more ice or juice if needed for desired thickness.
  3. Pour into glasses and garnish with a strawberry or pineapple wedge.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Sweetness: Start with 1 tablespoon of sugar and adjust to taste. If your strawberries or pineapple are already very sweet, you may need less.
  • Cream of Coconut Tip: Be sure to use cream of coconut (like Coco López), not coconut milk. It’s thicker and sweeter, perfect for coladas.
  • Make it Creamier: Add a splash of coconut milk or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you prefer a milkshake-like texture.
  • Frozen Fruit Swap: You can use fresh fruit instead of frozen — just add extra ice to get that frozen drink consistency.
  • Serving Ideas: Serve in hurricane glasses with a mini umbrella or paper straw for a fun party presentation!
  • Optional Garnishes: Top with whipped cream, shredded coconut, or a maraschino cherry for an extra treat.
