How to Keep Baby Happy While Hair-Styling

I use JOHNSON’S® baby products to keep my baby happy while hair-styling as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #johnsonspartners #TangleTalkHow to keep baby happy while hair styling! These ideas will help!

Our little guy is now 18 months old and likes to be on the move at ALL times.  He still comes up to me for cuddles, but the cuddling doesn’t last as long anymore before he wants down to play!  If you have a toddler then I am sure you can relate too.  The other day I was trying to style his hair as we went out and I realized that our normal routine was not going to cut it anymore.  He fussed and wanted down immediately.  So now we make styling his hair a game now and he LOVES it!

To keep my baby happy I have to use the right bath products first.  It must be No More Tears® because if he gets upset at bath time then he certainly won’t be happy with me styling his hair later.  Lately we have been using JOHNSON’S® shampoo & conditioner for thin/straight hair and have really enjoyed how easy it is to comb his hair after using it.

With the No More Tears® formula in the JOHNSON’S® shampoo & conditioner for thin/straight hair I don’t have to worry about a few suds getting in his eyes.  He just laughs it off as we wash out his hair!

Once we are finished with the bath it’s time to style!  I use the JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® leave-in conditioner for shiny, comb-friendly hair without the fuss.  This is also where the fun time begins for our little one.  To keep him happy we set him on top of the bathroom counter (with mom or dad right there of course).  Then we style his hair while he looks in the mirror.  We make funny faces and tell him to make them too.

Daddy even plays a little peek a boo with him!  It’s so fun to see him interact and play in the mirror with us!  The best part is that he now loves to get his hair styled!  In fact, I could take as much time as I want now because he rarely wants down.  The last step in the process include the JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® detangling spray which keeps our little guy’s hair shiny and healthy.  If your baby or child has stubborn knots like our older girls do it really helps to get those out too!  In fact, I’ve been known to use a spray or two on my own long hair at times.  It really works!

Here are the recommended steps to create a happy baby styling routine of your own:

STEP 1: CLEANSE: JOHNSON’S® shampoo & conditioner for thin/straight hair or curly/thick hair

  • Delicate baby hair needs special care. JOHNSON’S® shampoo & conditioner for thin/straight hair formula  delicately unlocks knots and tangles during bath time in your baby’s hair, leaving it easy to comb without feeling weighed down.

STEP 2: NOURISH: JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® leave-in conditioner

  • The lightweight formula gently unlocks the toughest knots and tangles for shiny, comb-friendly hair without the fuss. Dries easily, and allows you to style as you wish.

STEP 3: STYLE: JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® detangling spray

  • Delicate baby curls need special care. JOHNSON’S® shampoo & conditioner for thick/curly hair is formulated to unlock even the most stubborn knots and tangles in your baby’s curly hair, leaving it easy to comb and looking beautifully shiny and healthy, while keeping the spring of curly hair after bathtime.
