Tuesday Tutorial… Magic Letters

Today I am kicking off homeschool lessons with my girls and I have a really special project I have been working on I call “Magic Letters”.  It is SO easy to do and will be so much fun as we explore the world of written language.  It is simply white fabric puff paint on white carstock that will be under a piece of regular white paper.   The kids will rub over the paper with a “naked” crayon to reveal the letter of the day.  Make sure to use white paint so that they can’t see the letter ahead of time- this makes it “magic”.

Supplies:
White Fabric Paint
White Card stock
Scissors
Baby Powder (only if fabric paint is too sticky)
Naked Crayons (you know with the wrapper peeled off!)

First print the letters with the fabric paint onto the cardstock and wait until it dries COMPLETELY.
Cut out the letters.
Put one letter underneath the paper and rub with crayon.
Drum roll please… it’s an X!
If the letters are sticking to each other or the paper use baby powder to coat them…

Now have fun with your letters! Happy Creating!
