Recipe Review: Chiffon Cupcakes

Alton Brown is by far my favorite TV chef.  His Monty Python meets food science type show is so interesting.  And the food?  Nothing I have tried has been short of amazing! That is why when I saw this recipe for cupcakes I had to try them.  I did make one modification- I used vanilla beans instead of vanilla extract.

The result:  YUMMY!!!  I really like these “cup” cakes. First off they are baked in a mug… second they are a toss between a regular cupcake and angel food cake (I am not usually into angel food cake).  It makes for a cupcake that is not overly sweet.  I also used his recipe for frosting which was a perfect combo (I used vanilla beans of course).

here they are… Chiffon Cupcakes!

I recommend that you make them…  immediately!!!  🙂
