Tuesday Tutorial… Fruit of the Spirit Tree

For our “aa apple” week we are learning about the Fruit of the Spirit. I thought it would be fun to make a tree and decorate it with the “fruits” of the Spirit. To make it even more meaningful we don’t put up the fruits until I notice the girls portraying the different fruits. For example today I saw the girls hugging each other so we put up the fruit that had love written on it! We really “love” our Fruit of the Spirit tree!!!

Here is how you can make one of your own:

Grab an old picture frame and remove the glass (if there is any)
take some construction paper and make a background and the tree… I was lucky enough to have a tree from a bag I could cut and use!
paper for the 9 fruits (I had the girls make the fruits)
pre-made 1 inch letters

make and cut out your tree (unless you have one of these Walgreen’s bag)
Have your kids make the fruits (aren’t they cute!)
Glue everything down… Then  your tree is ready!

We have also been singing the “Fruit of The Spirit” song too! Cute! Now I am going to see if I can find them being patient… lol…  Happy Creating!

For an updated more “permanent” version of this see my other Fruit of the Spirit Tree.
