Cold and Flu Season hit us full force this year.  My little guy caught the flu in December even though he had been vaccinated.  Fortunately it was the less harmful strain of the flu and not the one he was vaccinated against.  With 4 kiddos in our home I am always trying to keep germs to a minimum which is hard!  3 things really have helped this cold and flu season so far which are vaccinations, hand washing and disinfecting everything.  We use Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant which is the type of disinfectant that meets the CDC recommendations.

Recently I made this cute Hand Washing Printable that I printed for my girls’ bathroom.  It takes about 20 seconds to sing through the ABC’s which is the perfect amount of time to spend scrubbing your hands!  Click here for the printable.

Some other great tips to keep in mind:

  • Wash your hands with soap & water for 20 seconds
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose, face with unwashed hands
  • Clean & disinfect commonly used surfaces
  • Cover sneezes and avoid sick people

ZEP Commercial has two great disenfectants:  The Quick Clean Disinfectant and Antibacterial Disinfectant Cleaner with Lemon.

I believe that because we have taken these measures our sickness has been a lot less than it would have been otherwise.  My littlest one was the only one that caught the flu this year which is amazing that no one else in our family did.  There is nothing worse to me than seeing my kiddos in pain or sick so I like to use the Quick Clean Disinfectant every!
