Notes: I made this project last year and after trial and error I have added some notes and changes!
Want a fun and stylish way to display the alphabet on your fridge? Or maybe leave the magnets off and use these stones as a game. Either way these alphabet stones are sure to please your little one who will be playing and learning for hours! (This is a choking hazard for those under 3!)
Alphabet Stones
What you will need:
white paper with letters printed out OR White paper with alphabet stickers placed on top: 0-$2.00 (edit: use a thick white paper or cardstock)
2 bags smooth round glass stones- Dollar Tree- $2.00
26 Magnets optional: $3.50- $6.00
other items
e6000 glue I have found that using silicone sealer works best for this project.*****

Total Cost: $2.00- $10.00
Directions:
Take one of the stones and trace around it 26 times on a piece of paper then stick your letters inside the circles. OR Print out sheet of letters and trace with the stone around the letters.
Cut out each circle and modpodge (edit: Use the silicone sealer!!!! ) glue it on the back of each stone. Just put a dot of silicone sealer on top of your circle and smoosh the glue until it is flat.
Wait until it dries then glue the magnets on with your E600 glue USE SILICONE SEALER!!! (if you are making them into magnets). They will take a while to dry.
Now let the kids have fun!!! AND you won’t mind leaving these pretties up on the fridge all the time!!!

This is perfect! I have a metal drip pan from walmart ($12) that I need fun magnet activities to do with my kids and I have the stones already! YAY! Thanks!

Anonymous- you can try it with thicker paper... mine was just printer paper, but the thickness of printer paper often varies. Try a plain white scrapbook paper... I wouldn't go as think as cardstock though.
