Steps to the Perfect French Press Coffee

My morning routine included delicious Millstone Coffee as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars by Crowdtap.

Millstone Coffee with Almond milk!

Wake up, pray, make sure the girls eat breakfast, feed the baby, get started on homeschooling and lug out the laptop to get started for the day.  Wait. Hold on folks!  I need to admit that the day should not start until mama has had her morning cup of coffee!   It’s a pleasant start to the day when I take that extra few minutes to brew a cup of coffee or two for myself.  It’s just something I do for me and I love my little coffee routine.  I have learned a few lessons on making a great “cup of joe” and so I thought I would share them with you all.  The first step is to start off with the best tasting coffee beans.  It’s really important search out what you love best.  I am personally a big fan of Millstone Coffee.

Millstone Coffee House Blend and Millstone Coffee Mayan Black Onyx! #MillstoneCoffee #ad

Recently I tried out Millstone Coffee’s new House blend and Mayan Black Onyx in my French Press.  I really love both of these Millstone Coffee varieties.  The Millstone Coffee House blend is a solidly great tasting coffee that I have enjoyed everyday.  The Mayan Black Onyx makes a wonderful espresso-esque coffee in my french press and I use it when I want a fancier coffee with milk or cream.

5 minutes and 3 simple steps are all it takes to brew a satisfying cup of coffee with a French Press.

1. Start out with 2 Tbsp. of Millstone Coffee in the flavor of your choice.

2. Take 8 to 10 oz. of boiling water and let it sit for just a minute to cool down a notch then add it to the 2 Tbsp. of coffee and stir.  Press the top of the French Press down just to the coffee line and wait for 3 minutes.

3. After 3 minutes slowly press your coffee until you hit the bottom.  Pour into your coffee mug and add what you want to it… then enjoy!

Morning Moments with Millstone Coffee! #MillstoneCoffee #ad

I like to pair my Millstone Coffee with some Baked Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal in the Fall.  My French Press Millstone Coffee is always a great way to start the day and it warms me up for those colder mornings!
