 My kids could eat cereal at every meal if I let them!  Growing up I was the same way and I still like having breakfast foods at dinner on occasion.  Since I know my kids will eat cereal so readily I have been experimenting with other ways to use it for different dishes.  This Slow Cooker Apple & Cherry Casserole is a great dish that could be used as a side dish, dessert or breakfast!

I used Quaker® Simply Granola Cereal for this casserole and it tasted great!  It’s also super easy to make because you can just dump all the ingredients in the slow cooker and then it’s ready in a few hours!

Cereal Isle at Walmart. Quaker Granola Cereal

I found the Quaker® Simply Granola on the cereal isle at Walmart while we were shopping the other day.   I liked that it had raisins and almonds which I knew would taste great with the cherries and apples in this dish.  We also like to buy Quaker® Life, Quaker® Oatmeal Squares, and Real Medleys® too!

Did I mention it only takes 4 ingredients to make this?  So easy!

Slow Cooker Apple & Cherry Casserole (4 ingredients)

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of Quaker Simply Granola Cereal
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 3 Tbsp . butter, cut 2 Tbsp. of the butter into small cubes

Instructions

  1. Grease the bottom of your slow cooker with 1 Tbsp. of the butter. Add cherry and apple pie filling to the slow cooker. Pour the Quaker Simply Granola cereal on top and then place butter cubes to the top of the cereal evenly. Cook on high for up to 3 hours and on low for up to 6 hours. Enjoy!
