I like surprising my family and friends by giving unique and fun gifts for the holidays. Sometimes it’s hard to know what people will like, but that’s where homemade gift baskets come in handy. I always like to start out my gift baskets with a theme like this Reindeer Gift Basket. It then becomes a little game where my family and I find everything related to the theme that we can! Then we also make our own homemade items to include the basket too. This Reindeer Gift Basket is super cute and I can’t wait until Christmas to give it away!
One thing that I always include in my gift baskets is food items. For this gift basket I used Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Reddi-Wip, Swiss Miss hot chocolate and Slim Jim jerky. I used these items in unique ways according to the reindeer theme.
These all make great gift basket items and I found them at Target. There will be Target Cartwheel offers for 30% off Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Reddi-Wip, Swiss Miss hot chocolate and Slim Jim jerky from November 26th through November 28th.
This cute little Hot Chocolate Reindeer ornament I included in the gift basket was made using the Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate mix, mini chocolate chips, small candy canes, small fillable ornament and some pipe cleaners. I also decorated with some paper eyes and a pom pom nose too. I think he turned out super cute! You can use a small ornament or look around for round containers like this one to use. I used 3 Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Packages for this ornament and filled up to the top with the mini chocolate chips. If you make your own… just make sure print off the directions for making the hot chocolate with the ornament! I included the Reddi-Wip for topping the hot chocolate too… so good!
For this next reindeer idea I wrapped a couple of the Slim Jim jerky sticks with brown paper. I then used pipe cleaners to make the reindeer antlers. You can always use a plain mug and stick these on or find a mug like I used. The sticks look great on their own in the gift basket too, but I like being able to fit the rest of the Slim Jim jerky sticks into the mug.
The next idea I had was to make a Reindeer Snack Mix using Orville Redenbacher popcorn with Christmas colored chocolate candies and chocolate covered pretzels (for the reindeer antlers). I love the flavor combo of chocolate and popcorn together. I just put the snack mix in a glass jar with a bow!
I found several other items to include in my basket at Target like the reindeer plate, reindeer cup, and reindeer salt and pepper shakers! To make the basket complete I wrapped a little reindeer headband around the outside of the basket too. I just love how it all turned out!
What theme would you make your homemade gift basket?
Be sure to check out the upcoming Black Friday Sampling Event at select local Targets throughout the duration of the weekend after Thanksgiving. There will be samples of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate to try! Yum! See details here.

Seriously, a-DEER-able! I love how you put this basket together and using the headband as a little border for your basket is genius!! Everything seems to go with your theme very well and it is perfect for the gifting season! #client
