Summer Camping Skin Essentials

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Banana Boat® and OFF!®. The opinions and texts are all mine.

 Camping Skin Care Essentials!

Every year in June we go camping with the whole family.  We started this tradition when my oldest daughter was just a baby and the kids look forward to it every year.  June is always hot in Oklahoma and there are special precautions we have to take to protect our skin for summer camping.  We have to take measures to protect against sunburn,  mosquitos, and dryness.

These Summer Camping Skin Essentials help protect our skin and makes us happy campers.

Camping Safety Tips for sun

Sunscreen is essential for camping!  Especially in the summer when most of the time spent camping is outside.  We only go in our tent to sleep at night so we are outside all day long.  We love the Banana Boat® Sun Comfort sunscreen spray because it’s so easy to use and has UVA/UVB protection.  I bought the Banana Boat® Sun Comfort sunscreen spray at Walmart and they had both SPF 30 and 50+ available.

Camping Safety Tips!!!

The campground we visit has a little beach area and playground with lots of sand.  The kids love to play there every chance they get.  The great thing about the Banana Boat® Sun Comfort sunscreen spray is that it’s made so that sand easily wipes off.  It also relieves dryness at the same time.

Camping Safety Tips

The boys are always seeking out the water and that’s great with me because it means they stay cool.  The Banana Boat® Sun Comfort sunscreen spray is also water resistant for up to 80 minutes which is important for all the kids that are playing in the water to beat the heat.

Camping Safety Tips for sun and bugs

The other essential item we always use camping is OFF!® Active insect repellent which I also find at Walmart. Obviously there are a lot of mosquitos while we are camping and the OFF!® Active insect repellent helps to protect against them. We like the OFF! Active insect repellent because it's sweat resistant and we all tend to sweat a lot while camping. (Be sure to follow the directions for use especially with children.) I find that we have little use for other items like lotions or sunburn creams when we use the OFF!® insect repellent and Banana Boat® sunscreen. Those are handy items to bring camping just in case, though. We had a great time on our last trip and not one sunburn or mosquito bite on any of us!
