Sunshine and backyard parties are some of my favorite things! I am so glad that the weather is finally drying out so we can have more fun outdoors! I recently visited my sister and we had such a fun time in her big beautiful backyard. The kids love to play while we watch close by and catch up on life. We don’t usually like to spend too much time in the kitchen so I made some simple recipes that we all love and can enjoy outside.
This Maple Walnut Banana Pudding is a delicious spin on traditional banana pudding.
I’ll always love traditional banana pudding, but this really takes the dessert to a new level. The sweet hints of maple from the Dare TM Maple Leaf Crème Cookies really made this banana pudding spectacular. DARE TM Maple Leaf Crème Cookies are a decadent tasting treat made with real ingredients. They are a must try and I bought these at Walmart!
Maple Walnut Banana Pudding & Easy Appetizers
Ingredients
- 1 12.3 oz . package Dare TM Maple Leaf Crème Cookies
- 3 bananas sliced
- 1 16 oz . container of frozen whipped topping thawed
- 1 family sized box of instant vanilla pudding
- 3 cups milk
- 2 Tbsp . maple syrup
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
- 1 8 oz . package of cream cheese, room temp
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl beat on high the pudding mix, maple syrup, 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of the whipped topping and the cream cheese until smooth. Add the rest of the milk slowly so that the mixture remains smooth. Set aside and begin to assemble the pudding into an 7x11 inch casserole dish. Take each Maple Leaf Crème Cookie and split in half to make 2 separate cookies. Place enough of the halved cookies to the bottom of the pan for an even layer. Add the pudding mixture (except leave 1 1/2 cups) on top of that and smooth it out. Add the bananas in a layer on top of the pudding and then add a layer with the rest of the pudding smoothed out on top of the bananas. Add Walnuts next in a layer and then the whipped topping smoothed out to reach the top of the pan. Add another layer of cookies and then place the pudding in the refrigerator. Let it sit in the fridge for around an hour before serving. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve and can be stored for a day or two in the fridge.

We also had some great appetizers while we were at her house. These Fiesta Cream Cheese Salame bites and Pesto Cream Cheese Salame bites tasted amazing and took only minutes to prepare. To make the appetizers I used Dare Breton® Grainsfirst Crackers, GALLO SALAME and toppings made with cream cheese. You can find everything that you need for these appetizers at Walmart. For the Fiesta Cream Cheese Salame bites I mixed pico de gallo with cream cheese and put that on top of a piece of cheddar with a tomato for garnish. For the Pesto Cream Cheese Salame bites I used pesto mixed with cream cheese and also had a tomato for garnish. Everyone loved them both, but the Pesto Cream Cheese Salame bites were the favorite!
We loved these Breton® Grainsfirst crackers which have whole grains, seeds and are a great source of fiber. The Breton® Grainsfirst Crackers, Gallo Salame and Dare TM Maple Leaf Crème Cookies that I used can be found at your local Walmart, where you can now save $1 by buying 2 products with this IBOTTA OFFER.
For great entertaining solutions, look for Breton® Crackers and Cookies at your local Walmart.
