Holiday Soda Float Station!! This is a fun idea for any party!

My mom and I have had to plan our  family Christmas events much earlier this year.  We are planning on our parties being at the beginning of the month because both my sister and I are having babies soon. This means we will have to have plenty of easy ideas for entertaining like this Holiday Soda Float Station. My mom and I thought this would be a great way to serve up some delicious treats while keeping the party planning low key. Everyone I know loves soda floats and they make such a festive treat!

Holiday Soda Float Station! I love this idea to take a popcorn tin and repurpose it into an ice bucket for parties! One of the ideas I had to keep the SODA cool was to put it in a clean Christmas popcorn tin that’s been filled with ice.  This ensures that the pop is nice and cold when adding it to the ice cream.

I found the soda in the beverage aisle at Walmart and picked out several yummy flavors in the 0.5L 6 packs like A&W®, 7UP®, Canada Dry®, and Sunkist®.

In addition to the 0.5L 6packs I also got my A&W®, 7UP®, Canada Dry®, Sunkist®, Sundrop®, RC Cola®, and Squirt™ at my local Walmart for only $1.00!  When you purchase (10) 2-liters or (5) 0.5L 6packs during the month of December at Walmart you will receive a $5 VUDU credit.  We are planning on using our credit soon for a family fun movie night!

We had two flavors of ice cream which were vanilla and orange cream. I find these make a nice mix with the sodas we picked out. I put the ice cream tubs inside bowls that are filled with ice to help keep them cold longer. When it comes time to make out floats we just scoop the ice cream and pour on the soda of choice on top. Then we add whipped cream and holiday sprinkles if desired! So fun and festive! I love how easy it is to make this Holiday Soda Float Station and can’t wait to do it again! What easy ideas do you have for holiday entertaining?
