During the holidays I am surrounded by candy, sweets, cookies and all sorts of yummy treats constantly. One way to combat the urge to indulge excessively during the holidays is to make healthy treats. I know that I am much less likely to want loads of Christmas cookies if I have been meeting my sweet tooth needs through healthy snacks! This Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Soft Serve has three ingredients and is very healthy! It’s made with Cookie Dough Balance bars, bananas and milk. That’s it!
Banana Soft Serve is one of my all time favorite treats and I love adding healthy ingredients to make healthier versions of my favorite ice creams. Probably my favorite of all time is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream.
I recently spotted these Cookie Dough Balance Bars at Walmart and knew I had to give them a try. I really like the flavor and enjoyed them on their own and in the soft serve! The great thing is that they have 15 grams of protein per bar and are packed with vitamins and minerals. The calories in this snack are far from empty calories! Balance bars are based on the caloric ratio of 40% of calories from carbohydrates, 30% from protein and 30% from dietary fat for optimized energy! This snack helps me stick to this ratio of healthy eating even during the holidays.
To make the soft serve you will need 4 or 5 bananas that have been sliced and frozen. I always freeze mine in a plastic bag.
Then chop up 2 Cookie Dough Balance Bars into small pieces.
Then you will need to process the bananas in a high powered blender or a food processor until the bananas are completely transformed into a whipped soft serve consistency. This will not work with a normal standard blender. I used a Ninja that I bought for $30.00 last year at Walmart.
Next mix in the Balance Bar pieces with a spoon. Leave out a few pieces to sprinkle on top if desired.

Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Soft Serve!
- 4 to 5 medium sized bananas sliced and frozen
- 2 Cookie Dough Balance Bars chopped into small pieces
- 1/4 cup of milk or more
- Take the bananas and process or blend them in a food processor or high powered blender until they resemble a soft serve ice cream. Use a little milk to help get the process going... you don't need much milk and only add about 1/4 cup at a time. Once it is finished spoon in the Balance Bars and reserve some to garnish with if desired. Transfer to 4 bowls and garnish with the reserved Balance bar pieces. Enjoy!
