Gender Reveal Party Cake

Gender Reveal Cake with Swirls

This is a continuation of all the fun party decor and ideas that we had at our Gender Reveal Party!  This cake was put together last minute because I couldn’t decide what I wanted it to look like.  I thought about regular rosettes all over the cake, but decided it may have been too feminine.  I wanted it to be gender neutral and so this design came to mind.  It’s  a play on regular rosettes… only I didn’t use a star tip I used a regular round tip.  I think it turned out so pretty!   It almost looked like marshmallows on the whole cake!   For the flags I use paint chip samples from Lowe’s cut out to look like flags and taped them on little dowels at different heights.  With the paint chip samples I was able to match the decor colors exactly!  Nothing like begging your hubby to go to Lowes last minute for paint chip samples…lol.  😉

Gender Reveal Coral and Mint Cake

If you are doing the cake as the reveal you can always make the inside blue or pink.  Since we were using the Individual Pinatas as our reveal… we used the colors of the party inside the cake.. Mint and Coral layers!  I just used a regular Vanilla Cake mix and colored half mint and the other coral.  So easy and everyone loved it!

Gender Reveal Party!

The cake looked spectacular on our dessert table!  I loved how it all turned out!   Later on I will show you how to make the Tassel Garland, the Coral Colored Punch and the Cream Cheese Mints… so stay tuned!

Did you ever post the tutorial on how to make the tassels? I want this exact color scheme for my gender reveal. Thanks!
