This Easy Salted Caramel Mocha blog post is sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts but the opinions are all my own.
The holidays are all about tradition for me. Every year I can’t wait to trim the tree, hang stockings and spend ample time with friends and family. The holidays can get a bit busy though and I find that I need to take little breaks to help me relax. One of my favorite ways to relax is sitting by the fire with a hot cup of coffee. I find that the busyness of the holiday seems to subside when I take the time to unwind.
One of my favorite coffee flavors has always been caramel. This Easy Creamy Salted Caramel Mocha is so delicious and it’s a holiday recipe favorite of mine. Salted Caramel Mochas are something I like to get at a coffeehouse and I knew there had to be a great way to make them at home. I start out by adding a Tablespoon of Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra Creamer for the creamiest taste. I love this particular creamer because it’s extra sweet and creamy! I found my Dunkin’ Donuts Creamer at Target. Right now Target Cartwheel has a 5% off coupon on Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Creamer from 12/1/15 – 12/24/2015 which is a sweet deal! Target has so many great holiday creamers available like International Delight Peppermint Mocha and International Delight Frosted Sugar Cookie. I love having a variety of creamers for my coffee breaks.
For this recipe I add the Dunkin’ Donuts Extra Extra Coffee Creamer and I also add 2 Tbsp. of caramel candy to the hot coffee. I let it sit for a minute and then stir. Some of the caramel will settle to the bottom and this is okay! I just enjoy an extra sweetness right at the end. I also like to add a bit more sugar and cocoa powder before adding the coffee. I top it off with some whipped cream, melted caramel and some finishing salt. So good and perfect for a little holiday break during the day!
