“Eek!” That is what my girls said when they saw these crazy cute dessert ideas! DIY Spooky Celebration Treats are perfect for any Halloween party! They are easy to make using mini Snickers, mini Twix, M&M’s, and Fun Sized Twix! The Monsters and Mummies punch also adds a nice touch using 7UP and Hawaiian Punch! My girls were laughing the whole time about how cute our little party turned out!
The candies can be served alone or used as toppers to brownies, cookies or cakes. I used them as toppers to some brownies I made. To make a contrast I used white icing on top of the brownies that would have the Snickers Spiders and Mini Twix Bats. Then I used chocolate icing for the brownies that had the Fun Sized Twix Mummies and M&M Spider and Web. I just love that little bat with his vampire teeth…lol!
To make these you will need melting chocolates in chocolate and white chocolate, Mini sized Twix, Mini Sized Snickers, Fun Sized Twix and M&M’s. You can get all the candy bars I mentioned and the M&M’s in the Mars Candy Variety Packs. For the eyes you need black circle sprinkles.
I made my Mini Twix Bats, Mini Snickers spiders and M&M Spider and Web by drawing out my design on paper and then placing a piece of wax paper on top of the drawing. Then I added just enough melting chocolate to stick the candy bar or M&M to the wax paper. I traced my design with the melting chocolates using a decorating bag and a small tip. For the mummies I used the white chocolate in a bag with a small tip and just went back and forth over the Fun Sized Twix to make the mummy “look” (Leaving room for the eyes). For the eyes I used a tiny amount of white chocolate and black sprinkles in the middle. Place all the treats in the refrigerator (still on the wax paper) until they are hard and ready to use.
We also loved the Monsters and Mummies Punch! This super easy recipe is so delicious!
Monsters and Mummies Punch!

- 1 Quart Hawaiian Punch

To make the Mummy Cups I used clear cups and covered them with masking tape. Just apply the tape randomly leaving room for the eyes for that “mummy look”. To make the eyes and bows I just colored and cut them out with card-stock. For the Monster cups I used a black permanent marker and colored and cut out eyes from card-stock. SO easy and perfect to have the kids help out with!
I am so happy with the way these DIY Spooky Celebration Ideas turned out! Next year we will have to do this again and come up with some other Spooky creatures to go along with them! Be sure to check out the Pinterest board below for other Spooky Good ideas!
