It’s been a while since I posted anything FROZEN related and so I dreamed up these cute cupcakes using Anna, Elsa and Olaf dolls to share. Aren’t they cute? You can make them ahead of time for a party and let the party goers put the sprinkles on them. Plus the dolls can be party favors as well! I am sure all the girls will go crazy over these Disney FROZEN cupcakes!!!
The dolls I used are the small “Magic Clip” Frozen dolls version which you can find the exact Anna and Elsa dolls at Amazon (affiliate link). I just took the dresses off and stuck the dolls into the already iced cupcakes. For Elsa I had the snowflake sprinkles on hand which are made by Wilton and used them around the base of her dress. I usually find them around Christmastime, but you can get some Blue Snowflake Sprinkles at Amazon as well. (affiliate link) I also sprinkled some glitter sprinkles as well. I used Wilton gel colors in blue and added 2 drops per 1/2 cup of icing.
I used the same technique for Anna’s dress, but added hot pink pearl sprinkles at the bottom of her dress. To make your own hot pink sprinkles find some bright pink food coloring and then use my tutorial for DIY custom colored sprinkles! Use Wilton Royal blue for the dress for the best color. For Olaf we had the Olaf toy as a part of another toy, but you can use any small plastic Olaf for the cupcakes. If you are afraid of the plastic on the dolls touching the icing you can always wrap them up with food grade plastic wrap before putting them into the cupcakes.
This is how the cupcake looked before I stuck the doll into it. I piped the icing as high as I could with a Large closed star tip (Wilton 2D) which you can find the Wilton 2D tip at Amazon as well (affiliate link). My dolls went halfway into the cupcakes as well. Once the dolls are set into the icing you can fix the top of the dress with more icing as needed. For Olaf I just used white icing put on in a messy fashion to look like snow.
I just adore how these turned out and how super easy they are to re-create!!! Soon I will be sharing more FROZEN ideas, but until then you can see our Disney FROZEN Party I posted last year for more great ideas!
