This post was created as part of a relationship in which I was sponsored by Weight Watchers and given a free three month subscription to try their new Personal Coaching product and write about my experience. Though I was compensated for my time and commitment, all views, positive and negative, are my own.
There are many challenges we all face when our focus is on getting healthy. Between birthday parties and other celebrations I am constantly surrounded with foods that can easily hinder weight loss. With my blog I am constantly thinking and planning around these types of foods. I think that parties and special occasions should have foods that you love no matter the calories, but everyday life should be more reserved. The great thing that Weight Watchers has shown me is that I don’t have to deprive myself to lose weight. Weight Watchers has helped me make better choices in food and fitness. One of the choices that I have to make now is how I will celebrate my weight loss goals. In the past I would celebrate with food, but I decided it was time for some non-food rewards so that my weight loss doesn’t stall. I made a list 21 Non-Food Rewards so that I can reward my success without any setbacks!
One of the things I love to do to celebrate reaching my goals is getting manicure or pedicure. I usually give myself one, but if it’s a big goal met I might splurge to have it done professionally.
I’ll admit that I am not a big bath taker, but when I take one it is rewarding. It’s so relaxing! Fill the bath with bubbles or bath salts. I can’t believe how soft my skin feels after doing this too!
Yesterday the sky was gorgeous and our family decided to go on a walk through the neighborhood. This is a reward to me and it really helps me to refresh my mind! Sometimes when I am thinking about food I change my scenery and I’ll forget my craving. Plus it gives me a little added exercise!
Another way I love to reward myself is logging into the Weight Watchers website and tracking my progress. It’s great to see the graphs and motivational tools there. The food tracker is my favorite because it makes it easy to track my daily food goals. I also love to call up my Weight Watchers Personal Coach both as a reward and when I need help. She not only helps me to keep motivated even when it’s tough but also encourages me when I have met a goal. Something that I have learned about myself is that I can’t do this alone. I need help if I want to reach my goals. I love having Weight Watchers Personal Coaching because they have already been through this and are on the other side helping us to push through! If you are thinking of joining Weight Watchers then now is the time!
