I saw this pretty little ring (below) in a James Avery catalog.
I thought it was so pretty, but at $89.00 I knew it was WAY out of my price range. The wheels started turning and a trip to the local Hobby Lobby helped me recreate this ring! Total cost was under $10.00. Though it is not sterling silver, and it probably won’t last as long, I still got the look I wanted. I also have enough beads to make a necklace, earnings or a bracelet with!
What you will need:
E-6000 glue (this is a great glue to have around for all crafty things. $3.99 with 40% off= $2.49
an adjustable flat ring base (mine is not sterling, but you can buy it that way) $2.99 with 40% off = $1.09
silver rose beads… found here: Hobby Lobby $2.99 = $1.09
metal nail file (already had this)
Remember Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon this week- they usually run this promotion ever other week! Also they will only let you use one coupon per visit, so bring a friend…
Total cost with coupons= $4.67 (if you don’t have to buy glue it is $2.18!)
Total savings: $84.33 OR ($86.82)
Here is how to make it!
Start off by filing the bead on the back to make it flatter. Then glue it on the back of the ring… just wait for it to dry! Now you are done! You will have enough beads leftover to make other crafts with them too!
