Since becoming a “boy mom,” I have been asking my husband what types of things boys like. I really never grew up around boys myself… so this is a brand new experience! My girls are also learning what it means to have a brother. Many things will change in our lives as he grows and one of them is what we watch for entertainment. Since I foresee a lot more action packed movies in our future, I thought I would get my girls ready for all the fun by making a Star Wars-themed meal for them to enjoy! We also played a little Star Wars fun in the yard later on.
I was inspired to create this meal from a box of KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner with Star Wars Shapes! I thought the boxes were so fun with the different Star Wars characters on each one. There are four collectible boxes featuring Yoda, Darth Vader, R2D2, and C3PO. There are 8 collectible boxes in total, each with ½ of a character image. KRAFT Star Wars Boxed Shapes has fun shapes that kids love and tastes just as great as the Original KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese.
To go along with the theme of our meal, I made these fun chicken nuggets stars and regular chicken nuggets! I just processed the chicken in the blender and cut it out into shapes. Then I sprinkled them with salt, flour and brushed on a little oil. I then baked the pieces in the oven at 425 for around 20 minutes.
I also made these cute light saber grape kabobs! Green and purple for the good guys! 🙂
The KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Shapes tasted so good! The girls ate every bite on their plates. Of course we are big KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese fans here. I grew up eating KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner and still love it to this day!
As an extra special treat, we had some Princess Leia inspired Mini Buns!
After eating, the girls were ready to play! They had so much fun with the pretend light sabers we found at the store. I guess I had been depriving my girls of some good ol’action-packed fun with these! I have a feeling they will teach their little brother how to use these when he is old enough.
