I’m sharing how how to clean driveways and sidewalks as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #ZepSocialstars
Spring cleaning doesn’t only involve the indoors at our house. We also make sure the outside is clean too! We have been in our current rent home for around 5 months, but we lucked out because it is less than a year old and we are the first renters! Just because we are renting doesn’t mean that I don’t care what condition the home is in. I may actually care more about the condition because it’s not my own home to mess up! One thing I have noticed over the last few months is how quickly the Oklahoma red dirt is leaving its impression on the driveways and sidewalks. This is not only bad for the sidewalks, but bad for foot traffic stains inside too. I started looking for easy ways to clean it off and I found out that pressure washing was the way to go. I wanted to use a soap with the pressure washer and found Zep All-in-1 Premium Pressure Washing Concentrate was the best .
Pressure washing is so much easier than I thought it would be. I started out with our porch and worked down to the driveway. This really helped to sweep all the dirt and debris from weed eating and mowing too which makes them look fresh and clean. Watch this quick video on pressure washing to see for yourself how easy it is!
Since the two lots on either side of us are still empty it means that our sidewalk ends at an empty field. When it rains the dirt just starts to pile on and I know over time it will discolor the sidewalk. I was amazed at how quickly the pressure washer and All-in-1 Premium Pressure Washing Concentrate worked to clean all of it off!
The other big area of dirt and grime was the front porch. Some of the darker spots were there before we came, but I was impressed with the results of our cleaning. The porch looks so much brighter now! Pressure washing is also important for the maintenance of the exterior of a home too. It’s recommended to pressure wash every 12 to 24 months to deter mold growth and protect the paint and siding. I plan on washing ours closer to the 24 month time frame to keep the exterior looking great. It’s a much easier and more cost efficient to pressure wash regularly than to paint!
It’s amazing how much better our home looks with just a quick pressure wash with Zep All-in-1 Premium Pressure Washing Concentrate. I know that the Zep commercial really helped to get the stubborn Oklahoma red dirt stains out where washing with just water would not do!
