We use Game Nights as opportunities to spend quality time with our kids. I remember playing The Game of Life game with my family growing up and those are some of my fondest memories. Now I love to play The Game of Life game with my own kids and we have a blast with it. I have found that The Game of Life game is a great teaching opportunity and a way for my older kids to start dreaming of what they want to do when they grow up. The Game of Life game now has new career cards picked out by kids and it makes the game even more fun!
The new careers are: Singer, Secret Agent, Veterinarian, Teacher, Doctor, Professional Athlete, Scientist, Fashion Designer, Lawyer, Inventor, Chef, Race Car Driver, Dancer, Police Officer, Firefighter and the top pick, Video Game Designer. The top dream job as voted on by kids is video game designer. Aren’t these fun? I always think it’s great for kids to have a dream job in mind even if they don’t pursue that career later on.
Games are great way to bring families together and the new career cards in THE GAME OF LIFE game can help inspire those parent-kid conversations about what they want to be when they grow-up in a playful, casual way. Take Your Sons and Daughters to work day is on April 23 and this is also great way to introduce them to what you do at work. Since I work from home I still plan on letting them in on the things I do for the blog.
I also noticed the cars, the game-board and the little pegs on for people are even cuter than ever! I would have definitely loved that pink car as a kid!
My oldest girl decided that she wants to be a caretaker when she grows up. I thought that was perfect for her! My second daughter says she wants to be a chef which I can actually see her doing as well and think that is a great fit for her too! Maybe a culinary class and CPR classes are in order for us real soon!
