Since its summertime I am always on the lookout for something creative and fun to do with my little girls. One thing that my friend did for them last year was to take them to get a mani/ pedi for their birthdays. They had so much fun with that, but they knew that that was only for a special occasion because of the expense. Then I got to thinking that we could give it a try at home with Sally Hansen products. They have an amazing line of nail products that give professional results…. so we headed to Walgreens to get our supplies!
I had the girls choose what they wanted and they all chose the Nail Art Pens from Sally Hansen. They liked the fact that you could draw anything you wanted. So we bought four of them plus white Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear for the basecoat and Mega Shine for the top coat. Plus Walgreens was doing a promotion for Sally Hansen products with a Buy One Get One 50% off! You can see the rest of my shopping trip on Google Plus!
First we all put on a layer of white Hard As Nails XTreme Wear as the basecoat. Then one by one we picked out what designs we wanted on our nails. The nail pens were super easy to get started. You just press down on the tip and out flows the nail polish!
The first to get her nails painted was Pinkie Pie. She chose to have every finger to have a different design. I like the last one which was a little flower with a rhinestone in the middle!
The next was Kare Bear and she chose to have rainbows on her thumbnails and different designs for the rest. I love the rainbow effect. I really would have never been able to draw any of the designs with a regular nail polish brush. The nail art pens are awesome!
Baby Love was so patient for a 2 year old. A lot of it came off (from her playing with them), but she had fun anyway! I gave her some polka dots!
She couldn’t take her eyes off of them!
I coated all of our nails with a top-coat of Mega Shine by Sally Hansen. This dries so fast and is very shiny!
I ended up doing a pedicure because my toes needed it badly! My toenails were getting WAY too long and I had polish from who knows when still hanging on them. I decided I wanted to try a Chevron look. It turned out so pretty! I will be using the Nail Art Pens more often!

Nail polish pens? Neat-O! Soooo much better than just basic color. Mani-Pedi parties are the BEST!

I always do my own nails. Definitely cheaper and very therapeutic! I love your chevron nails! You have beautiful toe nails worthy of such art. I could probably only fit one chevron on each of the little toes ;)
