I LOVE this Bunny Wreath!!! This is actually the second Bunny Wreath that I have made so far. The first one was claimed by my mother right after I finished it! 😛 This one I am giving to my sister since she seemed a little jealous that my mom got one and she didn’t. Now I am wishing that I had bought even more supplies to make myself one because my other spring wreath I started broke in half (you’ll notice that it is in three parts because I was mad at it…haha).
I’ll eventually start it all over again. Maybe I’ll hot glue it back or just use a fun noodle! 😛
Now back to the Bunny Wreath!
What you will need:
2 thin 6 inch grapevine wreaths (affiliate link)
1- 8 inch Vine Wreath (affiliate link)
1- 10 inch Vine Wreath (affiliate link)
26 gauge brown wire (affiliate link)
4 feet of 1 inch ribbon (affiliate link) in color of choice
hot glue gun and glue sticks (affiliate links)
tiny flowers and vines to stick around the wreath
See the video tutorial here:
Begin by taking the 6 inch wreaths and separating them (if they are together). Then squeeze them at both ends until you crack them a little and they start to form a point at both ends. You may need to wrap the end with a little floral wire to make it more narrow.
Take some more floral wire and connect the 8 inch wreath with the 10 inch wreath. Use as much wire as you need to ensure a tight fit. Secure by twisting or tying into a knot.
Attach the two 6 inch wreaths to the top of the 8 inch wreath. Secure with floral wire.
Hot glue (affiliate link) the stems and flowers around each wreath.
For the ribbon use a strip that just fits around the “neck part” where the 8 inch wreath meets the 10 inch wreath. Hot glue to secure and then wrap a little wire to “scrunch” it where the ends are glued together (this is where the bow will go).
Attach the bow with some hot glue to the scrunched part. Then you are finished!!! SO adorable!

Hopefully you will think ahead and grab enough supplies to make two or three… because everyone will love this!!! 😉

This is beyond cute!! I wish I had more time in the week to craft and come up with things like this, my house would be a mess of spring and things like this right now if I did. (So maybe it’s good that I don’t, on second thought.)
Rachel
Thanks, Bee! I like to give them away for that very reason! 😉
Caddie
Oh my word that is adorable! I can see it on my door right now…

That is absolutely adorable! I love all the colors, and I love grapevine wreaths. I’m giggling at your broken wreath, in 3 parts, though. Crafting definitely has its moments. lol Thanks so much for linking up to Inspire Me Wednesday, Rachel! Featuring this in this week’s issue.:)

Very cute idea. I have gotten everything I need to make it but I’m having a problem finding the right flowers. Can you share where you got the ones you used? I love those and just can’t seem to find them.

This might just be the cutest think ever! I love having wreath’s on my door for each season/holiday but never would have thought of combining the materials to make it bunny shaped! You are so creative.

I would like to make a really big one because my house is pretty far from the street. Could you please help with the amounts needed for say, a four foot one? Thank you so much for any help.

I would need a really big one cause my house is about 200 feet from the street. Could you help me figure out how much material I would need to make, say, a four foot one? Thank you for any help.

That’s beautiful! How cheerful to walk up to a front door with such a happy looking bunny with enough color to draw your attention. Love using grapevine wreaths for crafts! Thanks for explaining how to make the ears. Great Idea!
