Growing up Dippin Dots were one of my favorite treats. I remember they always had a booth at the State Fair that said “The Ice Cream of the Future”. I loved those little dots! More recently I saw a tutorial for Yogurt Melts and I knew I wanted to make even smaller dots. Best part is that these are very healthy! (side note: I would not even attempt these unless your freezer is set to the lowest temp possible.) They tend to melt easily! They are fun though and you can do this with the kids! Oh, and they taste as good as they look!!! 😉
Frozen Yogurt Dots
What you will need:
1/2 cup Yogurt of any kind (I would not use the kind that is mixed with fruit unless you take the fruit out first to prevent clogging the tip)
Food Color is optional
milk is also optional
#2 icing tip and bag
freezer paper
This is what a #2 icing tip looks like. It is very small! Mix up your yogurt with the food coloring and a little bit of milk- the milk to to make them freeze harder, but this is optional… I’ve made them both ways and they turned out fine.
Just start making dots on the freezer paper like this: This is the tedious part. That is a lot of dots!!
Just pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours or over night… Then scrape them off in a bowl right before serving. They melt quickly!!!
They are so yummy!!! My girls devoured them!

LOVE YOUR PICTURES by the way. I take pix for fun too at capturng.com. Anyways, this does look tedious so I'll just enjoy them vicariously through you :)
