I love making dessert stands using disposable paper plates and cups. You can have a different stand for every party that you throw! I found these clear plastic plates and cups and Sam’s Club and I loved that the cups were see through. I put fresh flowers inside and I think it turned out amazing!
They are really simple to make. Just put the fresh flowers inside the cups ( I used 9 oz. cups) and then hot glue the open end to the top plate first. Then glue the cup to the bottom plate. You can use two cups stacked end to end for a taller dessert stand or one for a small one. I used 2 of each at the Summer Garden Party.
Here is one I made with a small plate on top and a large plate on the bottom. I love the splash of color that the flowers give!
Here is the larger stand with two cups stacked. This was great for the cupcakes which were a little bigger in size. The desserts worked perfectly on these stands and the flowers stayed fresh in there for 5 days afterward! Amazing!
You can see these dessert stands and more on the Summer Garden Party post!

The cream puffs were a big hit and they were the first to go. Next time we will be buying 2 boxes!!! The brownies also went really fast, but all the desserts were great. Do you see those fresh flowers inside the dessert stand? Find out how to make them using my tutorial for Fresh Flower Dessert Stands using plates and cups from Sam’s Club! […]
