Microwaves can get messy fast and can make kitchen cleaning a big chore. Nothing seems to make food bubble and explode more than the microwave does. If you forget to cover up your bowl of spaghetti sauce then you will see what looks like a crime scene when you open the microwave door! For you, my dear readers, I cooked up some spaghetti sauce in the microwave with nothing to cover it. I wanted to experiment with the new Zep’s Microwave Miracle and see how it compared to my usual steam method!
First I cooked a bowl of spaghetti sauce for 2 minutes. I did this twice and the first time I tried to clean up the mess with the steam method. I placed a bowl of water in the microwave for 5 minutes which let the steam build up. After that I used a clean washcloth to try and remove the spaghetti sauce. It was an okay process, but it mainly just smeared the spaghetti sauce around and did nothing for the dried up bits. I actually gave up halfway through and left some of the sauce on there before cooking more spaghetti sauce for the Zep Commercial Microwave Miracle. The second time around I cooked it on high for 5 minutes instead of 2. There was spaghetti sauce on every inch of the microwave now!
The Zep Microwave Miracle Foaming Cleaner is easy to apply by pumping the foam on the bottom of the microwave or on the turn table. The Zep Microwave Miracle then steams when you turn on the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds. The other steam method I had to microwave on high for at least 5 minutes and then the water was so hot I was afraid I might burn myself if it spilled. The Zep Microwave Miracle Foaming Cleaner is already winning in my book. When I went to wipe up the sauce from the top of the microwave I noticed how much easier it was wiping off. Even the dried up bits were not dry anymore and they wiped right off! No scrubbing at all!
This was the result of just one swipe of the top of the microwave! So much spaghetti sauce and it was SO easy!!! I could not believe that I didn’t even need to scrub to get it all up.
The turn table cleaned up easily too. I usually put it in the dishwasher or sink to clean, but there was no need to because the Zep Microwave Miracle Foaming Cleaner made it so easy to clean. The Zep Microwave Miracle also has a wonderful citrus smell that makes my kitchen smell great! The Zep won hands down for me!
I feel so accomplished now! Zep Microwave Miracle is a definite must have cleaner for effortless cleaning. It was a fun experiment even though I don’t suggest cooking spaghetti sauce uncovered in the microwave! The Zep Microwave Miracle is available at Home Depot stores.
