After the initial shock of the fact that we would be pushed into a home makeover way before we wanted one I started dreaming of what I really wanted in my kitchen. (I was more than content when we bought the house to just keep it in it’s retro-ness. I even bought a vintage Betty Crocker book to go along with the retro theme.) After we started the renovation I came to the realization that whatever color scheme or “style” I wanted needed to last! I began the dreaming stage… some of it was way out of our budget like granite countertops and brand new cabinets, but through the whole process I decided on a look that I really liked. These pictures were my inspiration:
