Mini Baguettes w/ Italian Dipping Sauce

It’s Project party weekend!!!! Come link up here!!!
This week I have a great recipe to share will you all…
This recipe was so easy and so GOOD!  I just love bread.  If there was one thing that would be hard for me to live without it would be bread!!!  These Mini Baguettes are the perfect size to go along side a wonderful Italian dish!  Best yet is that this bread is SO simple.

What you will need:
I adapted this recipe for bread machine french bread here
3 1/2 cups Bread Flour
1 Teaspoon salt
1 package Active Dry yeast
1 1/4 cups warm water
1 egg is optional

ice cubes

For the dipping sauce:
4 Tbsp. Italian Seasoing

1 tsp fresh ground pepper
minced dried onions
1 clove minced fresh garlic (I use the kind in a jar)
3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
dipping olive oil (add to your own taste)
dash of sea salt to taste
Directions:

I make all my dough using a bread machine according to the manufacturers directions.  Basically I just add all the ingredients and let it do its thing… Love my bread machine!!!  If you don’t have a bread machine then I suggest finding another recipe online and once dough has risen follow the next steps.
(someone was watching me!!! lol)
Once the dough has completed it’s rising time take it out and place it on a floured surface.  Roll it out into one long roll and then cut into about 12 sections.  Shape each section into an oblong roll.
Place these sections under a tea towel or napkin and let rise for about 30 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size.
This is what they will look like when risen.
With a knife cut shallow slits in the top to release steam once they start to bake.
Here is a little trick once you place them in the oven throw a couple of cubes of ice in the bottom to increase the moisture… this makes the bread crusty on the outside and chewy in the middle… mmm.  Also to get a nice color on the bread do an egg wash.. Just take and egg and beat it for a few seconds then brush the egg onto each loaf.  Perfect bread every time!
For the Dipping sauce just mix all the ingredients and serve!
Now you have a fancy Mini Baguettes!  They are so super tasty… and the dipping sauce is just plain awesome!

Happy Creating!!!
Now it’s time for you to show off your projects this week!!! I am so glad I found your site! I am making the baguettes right now, made the pumpkin pie dip earlier, and make the little tartlettes earlier with the Honey and fruit spread! They are all so yummy! We picked the triple berry and the tropical, the kids loved both flavors. I will do strawberry next! So easy and good! Thanks!
