I am so excited about this spring weather! We love to be outside and so I’ve been taking every opportunity to get us all out. We recently visited my parents and had such a fun time! We were also joined by all the cousins and so I knew that all the kids would want to eat while we played outside at the park. I went to the local grocery store and picked up some snacks that I knew they would all love. One of the first things I picked up was a package of Arla Havarti sliced cheese. We love Arla cheese because it is unprocessed and free of artificial flavors, preservatives and added hormones. Next I picked out some pretzels, carrots and dark chocolate. They quickly ate them all up and then went back to playing again.
Kids should only eat what they know. Thanks to Arla, they can!
Sometimes our lives can get too busy and we miss out on these opportunities to just play and unwind. I cherish these times with family! Arla sliced cheese is available in Cheddar, Havarti, Gouda, Fontina and Muenster. We have only been able to try the Havarti, but are contacting out local retailer to include more in their line up!
I love to teach my kids what goes into their foods. Arla cheese has come up with a clever campaign to teach kids about processed ingredients. For the Live Unprocessed campaign, Arla asked a group of children to imagine and draw ingredients that are commonly found in dairy products, like Xanthan, rBST and Sorbic Acid. I thought this was a clever way to introduce my own kids to these ingredients and so I asked them to draw these ingredients too! The results are hilarious!!
Of course they don’t know what these products look like, but they sound pretty scary. I didn’t give them any direction except to draw what they thought they might look like. Be sure to check out the Arla website and watch the behind-the-scenes short videos that show the two children going through the process of creating the campaign. We love Arla cheese and living unprocessed!
