This is a sponsored post for Puffs Plus Lotion at Sam’s Club, but all opinions are my own.
This past weekend we had a cold front come to town and it was a very welcome change. I love summer, but I really crave the crisp cool air after so many days of heat. One thing that is not welcome at Fall is the cold and allergy season that comes with it. Over the weekend we dealt with all 7 of us catching a cold! We went through 2 whole boxes of tissues over a span of 4 days. I often forget how many tissues we need when we all catch a cold at the same time. Talk about a miserable bunch of sick kids and adults! We are on the mend now, but this weekend reminded me how important it is to prepare for the cold and allergy season. Here are my tips to prepare for cold and allergy season so that you are not stuck heading out to the store when you are sick (and really don’t feel like it).
First of all, make sure to have a box of Puffs Plus Lotion facial tissues in every room. Facial tissues need to be easy to access in every room because you don’t want to be caught running to find one in a different location when you really need one. With such a big family I find that it’s easiest to buy Puffs Plus Lotion facial tissues in bulk at Sam’s Club. I can get a 10 pack at Sam’s Club or SamsClub.com. I love the price and the cute boxes! Puffs Plus Lotion is America’s #1 lotion tissue and is dermatologist tested to be gentle on sensitive skin. Kids have really sensitive skin and so I only buy the best facial tissues… otherwise I have kids whining about how sore their noses are! Buying Puffs Plus Lotion at Sam’s Club means that there are plenty of tissues to go around and I can place a box in every room. We especially make sure there is a box of Puffs facial tissues next to our beds. This makes it so much easier at night! My other tip is to make sure that you have plenty of over the counter meds on hand because colds usually get worse at night. No one likes running up to the store at midnight just to grab a box of cold medicine!
Don’t forget to place a box of Puffs Plus Lotion facial tissues in the car too. I can’t even count the number of times in a day that my kids need a facial tissue in the car. I don’t even want to know what happens if we run out! Which brings me to one of the most important aspects of the cold and allergy season which is prevention. I am always writing out reminders for my kids to wash their hands and the proper way to cough… and of course blow their nose in a facial tissue only!
What are your best tips for preparing for the cold and allergy season that is upon us? I’d love to hear your suggestions.
